• Enteral Nutrition: This is a method of feeding that uses the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, such as through a tube placed in the stomach or small intestine, to deliver nutrients directly.
• Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN): This is a method of feeding that bypasses the GI tract, delivering nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line.
• Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): This is a therapeutic approach to treating medical conditions and their associated symptoms via a specifically tailored diet devised and monitored by a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN).
